Our Boy Scout troop had a decadent and luxurious hot chocolate/coffee bar at the 2015 Palos Park Village Tree Lighting Fest and Holiday Market. The initial investment for the booth was $50 which was donated by a corporation. Next, we chose a theme based on items parents owned that could be used to decorate the booth. We selected "Vintage Christmas" as our theme.
We collaborated on items to sell and the design of the booth on Pinterest. We sold four different flavors of hot chocolate on a stick. Prepackaged hot chocolate on a stick could be sold as "to go" or given as presents as well as the option of stirring it into the hot chocolate sold at our booth. The condiments for hot chocolate included crushed candy canes, homemade whipped cream stars, mini marshmallows, cinnamon and cayenne pepper.
The coffee bar offered three syrups, heavy cream, sugar and all the fixings from the hot chocolate bar. We also sold Christmas "coal", cinnamon sugar pretzel nuggets and beautifully decorated chocolate covered pretzels.
